The Alchemist of Dreams

"I wanted to see what would happen if we blended the Balkan accordion with that flavor only Colombia has — and wrapped it in an EDM atmosphere."

I've always believed that the accordion and the piano have a unique way of telling stories — but I felt they needed a stage where they could shout with the force of today. I wasn't satisfied with what was already written; I set out to understand how the elegance of a piano note could live alongside the raw energy of an electronic festival. That search is what moves me every morning.

When I created Chicas Bond Colombia, I did it thinking of breaking that invisible barrier between "high culture" and "the party". I wanted an electric string quartet to feel as powerful as a rock band or a club DJ set. Seeing how the show makes people feel emotion through a soundtrack or a reimagined classic, confirmed to me that music has no labels — only truths.

My most recent project, Colombian Balkan Beat, was born from a very personal need: to connect my roots with the world. I wanted to see what would happen if we mixed the Balkan accordion with that flavor only Colombia has — Cumbia, Champeta, Currulao, Andino, Llanero — and wrapped it in an EDM atmosphere. The result is something the world hasn't heard before.

What I enjoy most about being on stage is seeing that generational connection. There's nothing that fills me more than watching someone who loves folklore dance next to someone who only listens to electronic music, both united by the same beat. In the end, my work isn't just playing an instrument — it's building that bridge where everyone, no matter where we come from, can meet and enjoy an experience that feels honest, vibrant and, above all, alive.
